A couple of weeks ago I was gifted some ECO-Cosmetics hair products. This was really exciting as I’m hoping that 2018 is the year I go fully eco-friendly and cruelty free with all the products in my home.
ECO-Cosmetics are a German company with an impressive range of green credentials. The ingredients in all of their products are 100% natural and farmed organically. In fact ECO-Cosmetics were the first natural cosmetics series certified by Ecocert. They’re also vegan AND they’re the first cosmetics made in CO2 neutral production. That’s pretty damn impressive if you’re looking to buy guilt free cosmetic products!
So how did they work with my curly and straight hair?
Hair Mousse £9.95
It’s packed with yummy natural ingredients like Goji berries for protection and Pomegranate to help maintain moisture and add shine. The natural ingredients also make the it smell good enough to eat. There’s no chemically twang – just fresh fruitiness. I thought it added volume to my hair both curly and straight, and I definitely noticed more shine and less frizz as well. A little goes a long way too – I only needed one pump to style my bob.
Hair spray £9.95
I was also really impressed with the hairspray. One of the key selling points is that it’s a pump not an aerosol which is really unusual. Like the mousse, it smells great as it’s made with Goji berries, Pomegranate, Jojoba and Sesame Oil to lock in moisture. I found that it gave good hold without leaving a sticky residue and it helped me add volume to my hair whether it was curly or straight.
Final thoughts?
I’d definitely recommend ECO-Cosmetics to anyone who wants to use more environmentally friendly products. I found they worked just as well as standard hair products but there is no guilt as they’re both vegan and super eco-friendly.
