DIY Deodorant (It works honest!)

It’s been a while thanks to exam marking and many glorious weeks of summer holidays but I’m back, and I’m still trying to cut down on plastic and save some pennies.

One of my favourite discoveries this summer was homemade deodorant. I found an amazing recipe from Mama Lina Uk. You should check out her Instagram for more recipes and beautiful pictograms.

It’s so simple, takes 5 minutes and it actually works. All you need is corn flour, bicarbonate of soda, coconut oil, essential oils and old jar. I added Lavender essential oil (because I love the smell) and Tea Tree oil for it’s anti-bacterial properties.

I store it in a jar and use a recycled lollipop stick to apply!

I’ve been using this deodorant all summer and it’s stood up to the school fair, all day car journeys, family days out and two 5k runs a week.

Give it a go and let me know what you think.
